Get To Know Me Better

I found a bunch of questions found online, and have decided to answer them for you! They're completely random and, after seeing a few bloggers do this in the past, I thought it'd be a fun way for you to get to know me, as the title of this blog says! I love reading things like these as I feel they really help you get that personal connection with

Are you a morning or night person?

Definitely a night person. A lot of the time I'm actually sleeping through the day and am up at night, and so being self employed is definitely best for me!

Are you afraid of the dark?

No, I actually can only sleep in complete darkness (unless i'm absolutely shattered!) I find it so difficult to sleep if i'm not really that tired, it's such a struggle!

Are you more of a tidy person or a messy one?

I'd love to say i'm tidy, but honestly i'm not. It's always organised mess though!

Are you on time or always late?

I'm on time 99% of the time, but really it depends on the situation; if it's somewhere I don't want to be, I tend to delay it as much as I can and end up late!

Did you ever participate in a talent show?

So back at school we had these yearly talent shows, and I was year 3 or 4 I believe (so somewhere around 7-9 years old). My friend and I were in the room to audition singing a High School Musical song (this was THE best thing back then!) and I froze when it was our turn, so she had to go on alone, and I felt so bad! This was one of the many ways my anxiety has made my life awkward haha.

Did you go to prom?

I did! I actually was not at school for very much of my Year 11 (my GCSE year), and so being at the prom was something I wasn't sure would actually be allowed. It wasn't the best night, and definitely something that, in my opinion, was wayyy more hyped than it needed to be haha, but it was lovely getting all dressed up and spending time with my friends, and seeing my entire year group altogether for the last time, and I know for sure I'd have regretted not going!

Did you like school?

Yes and no really! Yes in the way of seeing my friends and the few lessons I did enjoy, but no for the crowds, arguments, bullies, dramas and public sides! I definitely would not go back, I just think the kind of issues and my personal experiences was just awful. (Although, this didn't have anything to do with the actual learning and education side of things!)

Do you bite your nails?

Yes! It's so frustrating to me because I hate how it looks, but it's a habit I can't break, I've done it for as long as I can remember.

Do you enjoy DIY or crafts?

Definitely, 100%! I love papercraft type things, such as basic sides like decorating my penpal letters and planning - which I think i'd include as a 'craft', and then I've also always wanted to start larger craft projects, which is maybe something i'll do soon!

Do you forgive easily?

No, not at all. To be honest, it takes a lot for me to trust people and so when bad things happen, it's always with me and I just can't help it! I think I hold onto way too much, but i've just always been this way. If we're getting deep; I have been let down many many times, and have had a lot of bad experiences and so trusting people does not come easy whatsoever.

Do you have a nickname?

Not exactly - my name is pretty hard to shorten! Ever since I was little, certain members of my family would call me JP - as my middle name is Paige - and it kind of stuck around so long that I don't even really notice! The first few times George heard me be called this he was pretty confused!

Do you have any phobias?

BRIDGES! I absolutely HATE bridges. I don't like heights either, but bridges are just so unsafe to me, whether it's walking or driving, no matter how high or what's underneath it just terrifies me!

Do you have any piercings or tattoos?

None at all, but tattoos are definitely something I want in the future!

Do you have pets?

I'm sure you all know the answer to this one if you've been reading my blog or follow my Instagram account! We have Tink and Lucky - both chihuahuas.

Do you have siblings?

Yes, I actually have 5. My parents split when I was very young, my mum then had 2 boys, and my dad had 2 girls and a boy. They're all technically 'half' siblings, but I hate that term so much - they're all my brothers and sisters, it doesn't matter that we have one different parent in my eyes, it make absolutely no difference to our relations and honestly, I think the 'half' part is just unnecessary.

Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?

Mountains, probably! I love beaches until I'm there, as I hate being warm and sand gets everywhere! They are beautiful and I'd love living somewhere with a view!

Have you ever been hospitalized?

Yes, many times in general hospitals, and 4 times in psychiatric units, which I may go into in more detail in the future, but its of course very personal!

Have you ever been on a diet?

Yes, but it's so hard to stick to for me! I'm a massive comfort eater, and life isn't easy!

Have you ever gone camping?

Yes, but I have to sleep right next to the door of the tent with it slightly open as I'm claustrophobic and hated the feeling of being closed in or trapped! I think mostly I just overthought it all!

Have you ever skipped class?

No, except for faking being sick for days off because of my anxieties towards the whole place!

How are you feeling right now?

Pretty positive as I'm writing this!

How tall are you?

5'2 (and a half - that half is definitely important!)

If money were no object what would you want to use it for?

All the dogs!!! In all seriousness, something I am so adamant I want to achieve one day in the future, is to open my own rescue centre. I have thousands of ideas in my mind on how I would do this, what I would do, how things would go, I've spent hours, days etc researching anything and everything, and if money were no object, I would make this a reality NOW! It's 100% my biggest goal, and I just hope it'll happen one day!

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

If i could take my entire family with me, I've always wanted to go to Australia and America! I have actually never been out of the country. I don't think I could ever live outside of my current area though, it's home and I don't think anywhere else in the world could compare to where i've spent my 20 years on earth!

What did you last eat?

Tea and biscuits (so british haha)

What did you want to be when you were younger?

So many things! I changed my mind constantly, but those I can remember are a teacher, nursery worker, singer/actress, director, scriptwriter (I was always writing scripts and getting others to perform them!) and then as I was finishing school, I wanted to work with dogs, which I would still 100% love to do. My main goal in life, if I had the money of course, would be to open my own rescue centre and help all the doggies find their forever homes - and while they're with me, make them feel extremely loved. I've volunteered at centres in the past and have hated the conditions, so would love to give them somewhere nice - it's not their fault they're unowned and it's just so sad to me.

What do you do on a typical Friday night?

Everyday of the week is the same for me, really! I spend the majority of my time writing blog posts, getting products ready for my store (opening soon!), on Instagram and Pinterest marketing for them both, and either Netflix or YouTube on in the background!

What is one food that you refuse to eat?

Gherkins! When my mum was pregnant with me, she used to send my dad out all the time to get gherkins; even just a pot of them from McDonalds! So, I think that probably has something to do with me not liking them haha.

What is one item on your bucket list?

I actually shared 40 things in a separate blog post! This can be found here.

What’s one of your pet peeves?

People that say horrible things about each other behind their backs, but are the best of friends when they're together.. Definitely avoid any and all drama now, I had enough throughout all my school years to last a lifetime i'm sure!

What’s your longest relationship so far?

5 years (back on 29th May!) with my current partner George.

What’s your lucky number?

8, and I have absolutely no idea why! I chose this when I was a child, I think mostly because I just loved writing it, it was super satisfying to little me!

What’s your star sign?

Capricorn, my birthday is 26th December, aka the day after Christmas! Such a busy and exciting time of year for sure, and I love it!
